Bio - Through his manager Joanne Berbower, Indie label Meritage Records discovers and signs singer songwriter Ben Benkert from Brentwood, California on a recording, promotional & development deal and sets out to release his first EP-CD titled “Live it Up!” on August 15, 2008. The EP-CD will have three (3) radio friendly singles titled “Lived it up”, Before It’s Gone, and “Another (ASCAP).” These three (3) song EP-CD will bend ears as he begins to expose his remarkable talent and sets out to conquer national and international audiences (Format: Adult Contemporary, Singer-Songwriter, Adult Alternative, Pop, Pop Alternative, Progressive Acoustic Rock). Playing guitar since the age of 6, this amazingly talented young man (age 25) has blossomed into an industry level performer/singer-song writer. With over 30 original songs and a multi-dimensional approach to music and style, Ben Benkert has opened up an infinite amount of musical talent that is truly magnetic. Producers/Engineers Diego Cisternas and Omar Lewis have created, crafted, arranged, developed and produced an exceedingly unique feel and fresh new sound to Ben’s music with exquisite care, lifting his overall sound to a whole new and professional level that is bound to make the critically acclaimed list.
